Acute Burns
The commonest burn injury occurs in children and women due to hot fluids. Management of major burns is multi disciplinary. Treatment includes multiple special burn dressings and surgical intervention to remove the dead skin and replacement with skin grafts/substitutes. Flame and electric burns if sustained lead to more damage and deformity.
