Defects in the skull bone can be due to various factors. The underlying causes can be congenital, post trauma , Infection , post tumor resection or rarely due to high voltage electric burns. Large skull bone defects can be reconstructed with autologous tissue or by various extraneous materials e.g, titanium mesh, PEEK implants.
